Who we are

Share Network is a non-profit organization whose
purpose is to raise awareness. Our mission is to create opportunities for survivors of human trafficking to thrive. Share Network works to achieve this for survivors of human trafficking by using the 3E approach.

Empower  Educate  Employ

Share Network offers programs to survivors: like the removal of “branded” tattoos, dance workshops, mentor program and internships.

Marphen Mijnals

Chair to the board

Marphen Mijnals is the founder of King Coffee. A company that not only sells fair-trade coffee, but also employs people with a distance to the workforce. He is known to be a driven trainer and peoples manager who leads his team with focus and humor. In 2016 he was nominated for the Global Peoples Awards or The Other businessman of the year. He is also currently setting up a fair trade coffee plantation in South Africa. He is a husband and father of three daughters. He has served on many boards and strongly believes that success is meant to be celebrated with others. Hence his desire to see survivors succeed and empower them in both Education and Employment opportunities.

Rachel Wechsler

Advisor to the Board 

Rachel is currently undertaking her DPhil in Criminology and is conducting research on sex trafficking victims’ experiences with the criminal justice process in the Netherlands. She was the 2015 McDougall Visiting Professor of International Law at the West Virginia University College of Law, where she taught International Human Rights Law. Rachel was also an Editor for the Oxford Human Rights Hub Blog from 2013-2014. Prior to coming to Oxford, she was a litigation associate at Latham & Watkins LLP in New York. Rachel completed her Juris Doctor degree at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, her Master’s degree in Evidence-based Social Work at Oxford, and her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development at Cornell University

Roëlla Lieveld

Founder & Director

Roëlla is the founder of Share Network. For the past 11 year she has dedicated her time to assist victims of sexual abuse and human trafficking. She has been an advocate for men and women in the US, Bulgaria, Netherlands Germany just to name a few countries. She works with local judges, aftercare placements, police detectives, and social workers to create new policies within the legal system and social services to ensure survivors receive proper advocacy from the point of rescue to rehabilitation.

Shadia Staebler

Share Board member

Shadia Starbler has over 10years of experience in pastoral work where she has supported and mentored women through various hardships and situations. She is currently pursuing her degree in Social work. Shadia is also the director of a Pregnancy Centre which established a satellite site for the purpose of supporting women in various stages of preganancy, decision and post abortion support. For 13 years she has held various leadership posts in the church such as nursery director, young adults leader and program management. She is wife and mother to 3 children and has been a foster parent for 5 years.

Charmayne Sijm

Secretary to the Board

Charmayne Sijm is working as an Intellectual Property lawyer at Hogan Lovells International LLP. Additionally, she is Chairman of the focus group Middle East and North Africa at Lawyers for Lawyers and a member of the Supervisory Board at Musicians Without Borders. Charmayne is a passionate musician and believes that music can be used for peacebuilding and social change. Being part of the Share Network team is important to her as she realises that anyone could become a victim of trafficking and it is our responsibility as human beings to look after each other. Charmayne also has great admiration of power and resilience in survivors of human trafficking. Hence she is always happy to contribute to Share Network to help survivors to get back on their feet and find their place in the society.
